About the Event
Enjoy traditional Swedish-American Christmas smörgåsbord fare, including salads, relishes, fruit, herring, bread, cheese, potatoes, salmon, potato sausage, meatballs, rice pudding and Christmas desserts.
Visitors must be masked when not eating. Tables will be round with 5 place settings.
Time: 5:00-6:30 p.m. Guests may arrive at any time.
Location: Gävle Room, The Gerber Center for Student Life, Augustana College, 3435 9 1/2 Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201
Park in the faculty/staff lot at 34th St & 9-1/2 Ave, not in student parking.
Cost: $24 members/$29 non-members/$12 kids 4-8/Free kids 0-3
*Patrons+ level members ($500+) get up to two tickets for free
Reservations required. Seating is limited.
Payment must be received by noon Wed., Nov. 24 unless we fill-up first. Pay online, mail checks payable to “Swenson Center” to Swenson Center, Augustana College, 639 38th St, Rock Island, IL 61201, or call 309-794-7204 weekdays with a credit card.
After dinner, the annual Sankta Lucia Festival begins at 7 p.m. in nearby Ascension Chapel. Students perform traditional Swedish and Swedish-American songs and readings. The Lucia program is free.
