About Exhibits

The Swenson Center has created digital versions of the exhibits in its reading room since 2012. These exhibits are found in Augustana Digital Commons.

 

Exhibits explore a variety of topics related to Swedish-American history and relations inspired by the Center's library and archival collections.

Permanent Exhibit

Below is the Swenson Center's digital version of the permanent exhibit Swedish Immigration to North America located in the Center's reading room.

 

The exhibit features a timeline of Swedish immigration, a settlements map of Swedish-American communities, and thematic panels featuring images from the Center's archival collections.

 

Text for the exhibit was written by Dr. Dag Blanck, director of the Center. Funding for the exhibit was provided by the Swedish Council of America.
