Advisory Committee Member Spotlight
Jennifer Attebery
"I taught folklore and American studies for three decades at Idaho State University, where I am now Professor Emerita, English. In retirement, I am continuing my research concerning Swedish America with a focus on historical legends and local history writing. My previous projects examined the meanings and functions of Scandinavian-American holidays (Pole Raising and Speech Making, Utah State University Press, 2015) and the vernacular letter writing of Swedish immigrants (Up in the Rocky Mountains, University of Minnesota Press, 2007). I am grateful for the Swenson Center's collections, which have been essential for my research. It is an honor to serve on the center's advisory committee." Jennifer has served on the Swenson Center's advisory committee since 2006.
Thank you, Jennifer!
