Swedish American Historical Society Celebrates Dag Blanck
The Swedish American Historical Society will host a special evening honoring the Swenson Center's Director, Dag Blanck, celebrating the festschrift Migration, Modernity, and Meaning: Studies of Sweden and America, Essays in Honor of Dag Blanck.
Location: Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60640.
Date/Time: Saturday, October 3, 2026. 5pm.
The evening will bring together friends, colleagues, and members of the SAHS community to reflect on Dag's wide-ranging contributions to the study of Sweden and America. Throughout the evening, attendees will hear readings from the volume as well as reflections from members of the SAHS Executive Board. Dag Blanck will join via Zoom to take part in the celebration.
The event will also feature dinner catered by Tre Kronor.
Tickets: $45, regular admission
Sponsor Tickets: $100, for those who would like to offer additional support for this program and the ongoing activities of the Swedish-American Historical Society.
