We are excited to introduce our new Head of Collections, Janette Foss Garcia! Janette comes to the Swenson Center with extensive archival administrative experience, previously working in Special Collections at Upper Iowa University and University of Texas-Pan American. At UTPA, Janette maintained a collection useful for genealogical research in the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas region, expertise that will be greatly valued at the Center. In addition to her work as an archivist, Janette is also an author who has written or co-authored several regional history books, including a volume on Edinburg, Texas for Arcadia's Images of America series.So, please join us in welcoming Janette to the Swenson Center family--we are very glad to have her here!
